 Beeswax

• Provides hold / structure, so the balm isn’t runny and helps tame fly-aways.  
• Creates a protective barrier on the hair, which helps seal in moisture and defend against elements (wind, dry air).  
• Helps give volume / weight to the beard when used in balms.  

BTMS-50

•  Conditioning: its a cationic conditioner, which helps smooth the hair shaft, reduce static, and make the beard feel softer and more manageable.
• Slip / detangling: Because it’s a conditioning agent, it gives some “slip” (makes the hair easier to comb through).

 Shea Butter

• Deeply moisturizes: Rich in fatty acids and vitamins, shea butter helps hydrate both facial hair and the skin underneath.  
• Anti-inflammatory: Can soothe itch, irritation, or “beard itch” / dryness.  
• Helps improve skin barrier health, which can reduce “beardruff” (flaky skin underneath the beard).  
• Adds a creamy, rich texture to the balm, making it feel luxurious / protective.

 Cocoa Butter

• Very emollient: Helps soften and condition beard hair.  
• Helps give a pleasant, spreadable texture: Cocoa butter is relatively firm but melts at body temp, which helps a balm feel “buttery” yet stable. 

Cupuaçu Butter

•  Superior Moisture Retention: Cupuaçu butter can absorb and trap water very effectively, making it excellent for keeping skin + hair hydrated.  
• Skin Barrier Support: Strengthens the skin’s natural barrier and prevents moisture loss.
